Strength Training for Longevity


Happy Week 2 of the new year! We hope you’re enjoying the challenge of easing into exercise and are ready to kick things up a notch. Whether you're a seasoned fitness enthusiast or just getting started, incorporating a simple strength training routine can make a significant impact on your overall well-being.

 

Why Strength Training?

Strength training is not just about building big muscles, it’s the foundation of mobility and longevity! It helps boost metabolism, increase bone density, enhance joint flexibility, and, of course, build strong muscles. Plus, it's a great way to sculpt your body and improve your posture.

 

💪 Week 2: Strength Training

No need to feel overwhelmed—start small and gradually build up. Here's a beginner-friendly routine to kick off your strength training journey:

  1. Bodyweight Squats (3 sets of 12-15 reps): Great for building strong knees, hips, and ankles.

  2. Push-ups (3 sets of 10-12 reps): Strengthens your chest, shoulders, and

  3. Plank (3 sets, hold for 30 seconds to 1 minute): Builds core strength and stability.

  4. Dumbbell Rows (3 sets of 10-12 reps per arm): Increase your back and grip strength.
